Diet required:

  • give preference to proteins, as they contribute to the restoration of the pancreas;
  • do not overeat or be hungry for several hours (if you are going on a long trip, be sure to take a snack with you);
  • divide the entire amount of food per day into 5, and if possible, then into 6 meals;
  • do not eat or drink anything very hot or, conversely, very cold - everything that enters the gastrointestinal tract should be of medium temperature;
  • limit salt intake to 8–10 grams per day;

Diet “No. 5”: food

According to diet “No. 5”, with constant pancreatitis (not during exacerbations), it is allowed to eat:

  • bread, if it is made from premium flour and has been left for several hours (dry fresh baked goods), as well as other products made from premium flour, if they contain little sugar;
  • pasta;
  • cereals - oatmeal, semolina, buckwheat, rice in the form of porridge with water or with a small amount of milk; seasoned with a small piece of butter or a teaspoon of sour cream;
  • milk - if store-bought and diluted with water, if homemade, and then only for preparing porridge; cottage cheese with a low fat content in pure form or in the form of a dish, for example, cottage cheese casserole; with a low percentage of fat content and without any additives;
  • meat with a low percentage of fat, which is beef and veal, chicken and turkey without skin, simply boiled or in the form of boiled meatballs, steamed cutlets;
  • , and the yolk should be thrown out or, if you really want it, diluted in half with water and added to the same steam omelet;
  • fish with a low fat content, simply boiled or in the form of steam cutlets;
  • vegetables - potatoes, carrots, zucchini, cauliflower, pumpkin, simply boiled or in the form of puree soup;
  • – 100% ripe and sweet both raw and cooked, for example, apples baked in the oven;
  • drinks - with lemon, milk, juice without sugar.

Vegetable oil and butter are allowed - their volume should not exceed 10 - 15 ml and 30 ml, respectively, which is equal to less than a tablespoon. They can only be placed in a prepared dish.

As for exacerbations. As noted above, you need to not eat for one or two days and drink a decoction of rose hips without sugar. This drink can be replaced with another drink with an alkaline environment - green tea without sugar, mineral water with sodium bicarbonate without sugar.

If at this time you can’t go without food at all, then make a choice in favor of food with a uniform consistency - jelly, jelly, oatmeal decoction. In turn, with persistent pancreatitis it is not allowed to eat:

  • bread, even if it is made from premium flour, but very recently; products made from puff pastry and shortcrust pastry; all kinds of goodies - chocolate, caramel, ice cream, jam;
  • cereals – pearl barley, millet, barley;
  • soups with strong broth - no matter from meat, poultry or fish, soups with undiluted milk, cold soups like okroshka and sour soups like cabbage soup and borscht with sauerkraut;
  • meat with a high percentage of fat content, such as pork and duck, sausage, canned meat;
  • fish with a high percentage of fat, any fish if it is stewed or fried, canned fish;
