The regional medical-genetic center with consultation “Marriage and Family” in Brest began its work in 1995. The purpose of the center is to provide specialized outpatient care to the population in the following areas:

The Department of Reproduction and Family Planning of the Brest Regional Medical Center provides consultations with highly specialized doctors - a gynecologist, geneticist, urologist, andrologist, and a specialist in gynecological endocrinology. Here you can discuss any issues related to reproductive health (miscarriage, treatment of female and male infertility, family planning, pediatric gynecology, etc.).
In the clinical diagnostic laboratory of the Brest OMHC the following is carried out:
Studies of ejaculate (spermograms),
- determination of karyotype (karyotyping),
- study of DHEA-S using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (IEA),
- determination of antisperm antibodies by ELISA using monoclonal antibodies,
- determination of 17-OH progesterone using ELISA technology using monoclonal antibodies, etc.
The Center's laboratory performs fast and highly accurate diagnostics of blood hormones using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The study is carried out on a Multiscan spectrophotometer (Finland) using test systems (Germany, USA).
