I made this dish for the first time for friends who really liked the taste and ease of preparation. Since then, many vegetarians have already tried my rice with corn and green peas and I see only satisfied faces, and most importantly, well-fed ones.

Compound:

  • 1 cup short grain rice
  • 60 g fresh frozen corn cobs
  • 60 g fresh frozen green peas
  • 60 g mung beans (for serving)
  • 1 PC. bell pepper (for serving)
  • 40 g sesame oil
  • curry to taste
  • salt to taste

How to cook rice with peas and corn - recipe:

  1. One day before, soak the mung bean in warm boiled water and leave it at room temperature, covered with a napkin, so that it sprouts.

  3. Bake the pepper in the oven at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes so that its flesh becomes soft and the skin separates.

  4. Heat the oil in a cauldron or thick-walled saucepan, add rice, salt and curry. And let the rice heat in the oil so that it becomes more crumbly and better absorbs the color and aroma of the curry.

  5. Then add water 1:1 to the rice and close the lid for 20 minutes. Turn the heat to low and let the rice absorb all the water.
  6. At this time, our corn and green peas should defrost. Add them to the finished rice and let it brew under the lid for another 16 minutes.

For fried rice with corn and egg, rinse the rice in several waters and boil in salted water until cooked, according to the time indicated on the package. This dish is best prepared from long grain rice; I used basmati.
